Overview and other details

Abstract:

Whether your entity needs to move charges from cost center to cost center or reclass burden and overhead charges in GL due to limitations in some other package, mass allocations are a useful tool for accurate management reporting.  While the ideas and concepts are known to many, the proper way to create and execute them are known to very few.  This session will aim to solve that issue for Oracle Cloud ERP based allocations. The presenter will show users two specific use cases and show how the system must be configured from the account hierarchies to the actual allocation setup steps to achieve desired result.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the Mass Allocation Process: How balances are stored, calculated, and allocated.
  2. Understand how to define a mass allocation and key components.
  3. Determine when it is appropriate to use a mass allocation versus a direct charge.
